Superman came to my rescue!

To the guy who stopped his car instantly when he noticed me wipe out on Howard and Tecumseh. I was rollerblading and hit something that sent me balancing to try and not end up in traffic. I finally stopped only because I fell onto the grass and wiped out. I was having trouble sitting up because the way I fell my legs were tangled up and I was in some pain. This guy pulled into the parking lot just ahead of me and ran over so fast. Within seconds he helped me sit up and ran into the convenience store and grabbed me some Band-Aids and a bottle of water. You helped me clean my knees and arms and made sure I was ok before leaving. I just want to thank you again publicly on here and tell you that you have been spotted.

LTC Operator saved the day

I witnessed a female LTC operator on the 26 Jalna Blvd. run today assist an elderly lady to get the 6 Richmond bus. She sent a text message to the other operator while she was stopped since the bus was driving away. Not only did she stop at the Richmond and Dundas traffic light to pick her up but she drove her to Richmond and York where she could get the 6 Richmond even though the driver honked her horn to the other driver in the beginning. I wanted to say kudos to her and the male transit operator for picking up this elderly lady because she needed to get to the hospital.

London has some compassionate people just like Windsor. Good job people.

Awesome servers at Pizza Hut

I wanna thank Jess and Melissa for their service at Pizza Hut when I went out with my girlfriend. They were very nice, polite, friendly, went above the extra mile, and also had a conversation with us while I was paying for our meal at Pizza Hut. By the way, I wanted to also say to Jess that thanks for also training your other colleague as well and I am sure she will appreciate the fact that she is being trained by an awesome server who has great people skills. Keep up the great work at the Highbury location and Happy Easter!!

Bullying in Southpoint hockey league

I think this story needs as much coverage as possible. Will you please share it in hopes more people are aware about this?

Southpoint Minor Hockey in Leamington has opened a second, more in-depth investigation into allegations of bullying against a 15-year-old house league player.

A committee of board executives and league officials will individually interview each player on a midget house league team this weekend at Leamington s Heinz Arena.

Fearing the abuse reaches beyond the one player who was initially punished, the committee will gather information about two incidents which allegedly occurred in January.

Josh Bluhm quit the team after he says he was locked in an arena washroom for 15 minutes on one occasion and then had his equipment trashed by teammates in the dressing room prior to a home game the next day.

Bluhm returned to the dressing room to find some of his gear stuffed in a dirty garbage can and some of his undergarments soaked, with teammates suggesting other players had urinated on the clothing.
